Remember, Honour & Inspire Change

"You're women", you're going to be engineers. You're all a bunch of feminists. I hate feminists."

Marc Lepine's words before he shot and killed 14 female engineering students at l'Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal.

That was December 06, 1989.

Today, we ask you to remember, honour and insprire change in the name of all the women who lost their lives:

Geneviève Bergeron

Hélène Colgan

Nathalie Croteau

Barbara Daigneault

Anne-Marie Edwards

Maud Haviernick

Maryse Laganière

Maryse Leclair

Anne-Marie Lemay

Sonia Pelletier

Michèle Richard

Annie S-Arneault

Annie Turcotte

Barbara Klucznik-Widajewicz

Simply because they are women. Who wanted to be engineers.

May we continue to fight for a world in which women and girls have access to all fields of study and work without the threat of violence.

Today is the National Day of Rememberance and Action on Violence against Women.

Remember, honour and inspire change.
